Liz Buckner-Yordy
At the heart of my practice is botanical printing—a process that allows the natural world to leave its own mark. By printing leaves directly onto leather, silk, and wool, I work in collaboration with the plants themselves, drawing out their color, form, and intricate detail. This slow, alchemical process transforms natural materials into one-of-a-kind pieces that honor both the beauty and impermanence of the living world.
Every hide and every leaf create a unique conversation. I embrace the unpredictability of the process, allowing nature to shape the final work. Through these botanical impressions, I hope to preserve fleeting moments of beauty and invite others to connect more deeply with the textures and rhythms of the natural world.
