If you are a new artisan who wants to participate in the 2026 Tour, please fill out the online application form below. Please note that the deadline for new artisan applications is April 15, 2026.

New artisan application


The Tour is open to all Virginia Artisans. Those artisans from outside the Charlottesville area may be guest artisans in a host studio. Artisans from the central Virginia area may apply to have their studios be a stop on the tour, but not all studio locations will be a fit. Artisans whose studios are not accepted as a host studio may still have their work accepted to join us as a guest in another studio.

Once juried in, returning artisans are eligible to rejoin the Tour each year. However, if it has been more than 5 years since your last participation on the Tour, we ask you to re-apply. Participation forms for returning artisans will be available here starting April 16.

All accepted artisans will turn in participation forms, $400 payment, and all required materials by June 8, 2026.

Emerging artisan program:
Our goal is to encourage and support emerging artisans on their path to becoming professional, so we offer emerging artisans a reduced fee of $100 for the first year and $200 for the second. We consider an Emerging Artisan to be someone who is 18 years of age or older, has been in business for less than three years, is far into the development of their work, is planning on being a professional artisan, has little show experience, and has been invited by a current exhibiting tour artisan. Once invited by a current artisan/mentor, emerging artisans will fill out the Artisan Participation Form in June. We look forward to having you join us and supporting your growth!
