Liz Buckner-Yordy

At the heart of my practice is botanical printing—a process that allows the natural world to leave its own mark. By printing leaves directly onto leather, silk, and wool, I work in collaboration with the plants themselves, drawing out their color, form, and intricate detail. The resulting prints capture more than an image; they preserve a moment in time—the silhouette of a leaf, the delicate trace of a vein, the unique colors of a particular season. These botanical impressions are transformed into hand-crafted journals, wallets, earrings, and wearable textiles. Through each piece, I seek to create a lasting connection between people and the landscape, inviting the beauty of the natural world into everyday life. My work is both a celebration of the plants that surround us and an act of preservation, honoring their fleeting presence through objects made to be touched, worn, and treasured.
