Richard Gordon started Phineas Rose Wood Joinery in the early 1970s influenced by his grandfather, an 8th generation furniture maker. He now continues to design and build furniture with his son Alec. Each contemporary design is constructed with mortise and tenon and dovetail joinery techniques using traditional hand wood joinery tools. Each piece is then hand-rubbed with tung oil in a two-month polishing process.
