Jill Jensen - Jensen-JIll-signature-TreeOfLife.jpg

Jill Jensen works in her home studio in Lynchburg. She combines printmaking techniques including linocuts, woodcuts, and eco-printing with painting to create fiber art. Her love of color and bold graphic images are incorporated into art quilts, scarves, original prints, and hand-bound journals inspired by nature. Jensen’s work has been included in regional, national, and international juried exhibitions, and she has had 19 one-person exhibitions. She says, “I enjoy the entire printing process from design, to carving the plate, to inking and printing the plate. These images are printed on fabric when I want to create art quilts or art to wear. I also print on paper which is the more traditional form of printmaking. I have a large etching press in my studio which has enabled me to work larger. I love to share my work with others through teaching and lectures in addition to participating in exhibitions.”
