The Artisans Studio Tour was founded in 1994 to enhance the community's awareness of professional artisans living and working in the region. All Tour artisans have gone through a rigorous approval process that ensures that the crafts are of the highest quality. Last year's 17th annual Tour showcased 35 artisans in 19 studios and we expect an even larger tour this year. Held annually on the second weekend in November, the Tour is a cooperative effort of the participating artisans whose fees go entirely to the costs of producing the Tour.
Our goal is to become a destination as sought-after in the fall as garden week tours are in the spring. You can help us reach this goal by becoming a sponsor. Your sponsorship funds will go to operating expenses or can be assigned to support specific programs such as the passport program. Any contribution will be gratefully appreciated. For your gift of $100 or more, we offer the following levels of support.
Sponsor Levels
$100 – $249, company name in brochure and a link on our website.
$250 – $499, company name in brochure and logo and link on our website.
$500 or more, company name and logo in brochure; company name, logo, brief description, and link on our website.
15,000 brochures were printed last year and over 10,000 were mailed. The remaining brochures were hand delivered to area businesses, hotels, wineries, and restaurants. The brochures are also distributed at Virginia craft shows and events.
